Next Steps in Knitting: Springtime Bandana

This is one 3-hour class from 11am to 2pm, not a series of classes--pick one session that works with your schedule. 

Open to students 18 and older.

Prerequisite skills (if you are a true beginner this class is not for you):

• Cast on
• Knit stitch 
• Bind off

What you’ll learn: This class, based on a simple bandana pattern, shows you how to

• Purl
• Decrease
• Make a button hole. 

Materials:

• Worsted or chunky cotton (nothing lighter please!), 150 yards
• US 10.5 needles (straight or circular)
• A button (size 1¼”)
• A tapestry needle

Cast on 60 stitches and knit 4 rows (you will have 2 garter stitch ridges). If using straight needles, heads up the stitches will be crowded, but only for the first few rows.

You'll finish this project on your own, but you'll be totally prepared. This kerchief/bandana will be a sweet springtime neck accessory!

Cancellation/refund policy:  No refunds will be offered within 1 week of class.  Cancellations prior to one week before class are eligible for store credit.  Cancellations are subject to a $10 processing fee and your store credit will be the balance of your class fee.  Your credit is not eligible for refund.  Classes do not include individual Make-up sessions.  If your teacher has offered to schedule a make-up class and you have scheduled to be there and do not show up, then your make-up class is forfeited and will not be re-scheduled.  Visiting teachers' classes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  We run these classes based on enrollment...paying in advance for visiting teachers to travel and hold workshops and can not offer any credit for any reason.  Please be sure of your schedule before registering for any class.  Thank you!
