Introduction to Embroidery

Class meets on Saturday, March 1 from 10am-1pm. Open to students 18 and over.

This one-day workshop uses traditional needlework samplers as examples for learning basics of embroidery. Whether you decide to utilize the classic sampler format, embellish a crazy quilt or to create a project more meaningful and unique to you, the skills learned in this class will teach you the skills need to create beautiful artworks, family heirlooms and add simple decorative details to sewing or knitting projects for years to come.

Materials: Embroidery floss, embroidery hoop, marking pens or chalk, embroidery needles and fabric.

Please make sure to stop by the shop at least one day ahead of class to get your supplies. You can also place an online order and pick up your materials the morning of class.

Cancellation/refund policy:  No refunds will be offered within 1 week of class.  Cancellations prior to one week before class are eligible for store credit.  Cancellations are subject to a $10 processing fee and your store credit will be the balance of your class fee.  Your credit is not eligible for refund.  Classes do not include individual Make-up sessions.  If your teacher has offered to schedule a make-up class and you have scheduled to be there and do not show up, then your make-up class is forfeited and will not be re-scheduled.  Visiting teachers' classes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  We run these classes based on enrollment...paying in advance for visiting teachers to travel and hold workshops and can not offer any credit for any reason.  Please be sure of your schedule before registering for any class.  Thank you!
