Embroidered Needle Book with Tatiana Castillo

Saturday and Sunday, April 25 & 26, 10am to 2pm.

Tatiana Castillo returns to Brooklyn General Store for a one-of-a-kind two-session embroidery workshop! Tatiana is a textile artist, embroidery teacher and author based in Bogotà, Columbia.

Embroidered Needle Book is a hands-on workshop where each participant will create their own needle book made of felt.

Throughout the sessions, we will work on the construction of the object while learning appliqué, embroidery, and beading techniques, all applied to a well-crafted, functional textile piece.

This workshop is an opportunity to learn by doing and to take home a beautiful and practical object, ready to be used in the studio or at home.

Each participant will be able to create their own design for their needle book.

Materials included in workshop fee: Wool fabric, embroidery needles, variety of different threads and beads.

Each participant must bring their own scissors.

Cancellation/refund policy:  No refunds will be offered within 1 week of class.  Cancellations prior to one week before class are eligible for store credit.  Cancellations are subject to a $10 processing fee and your store credit will be the balance of your class fee.  Your credit is not eligible for refund.  Classes do not include individual Make-up sessions.  If your teacher has offered to schedule a make-up class and you have scheduled to be there and do not show up, then your make-up class is forfeited and will not be re-scheduled.  Visiting teachers' classes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.  We run these classes based on enrollment...paying in advance for visiting teachers to travel and hold workshops and can not offer any credit for any reason.  Please be sure of your schedule before registering for any class.  Thank you!
