LEARN HOW TO SEW A CIRCLE SKIRT !
Join us at Brooklyn General Store for a hands-on 3-hour sewing workshop and learn how to draft and sew a circle skirt!
Choose your silhouette from a subtle ¼ circle to a full 360° circle and select your length between a mini or below-knee. We’ll cover measuring, pattern drafting, fabric cutting, construction, and waistband options, including elastic or a fixed waistband with zipper or button closure.

Bring your own pre-washed fabric or choose from fabrics available at Brooklyn General.
No prior garment-making experience required just basic sewing machine fluency, comfort with an iron.
Material List:
Fabrics - choose from the following options:
- Cotton
- Linen
- Canvas
- Corduroy
- Printed/patterned woven fabrics
Closures - choose among the following options:
- Elastic, if using an elastic waistband - 1 to 2 yards (depending waist measurement)
- Zipper, if using a fixed waistband - 6” to 10” length / any color
- Button(s), if using a button closure
- Interfacing, if using a structured/fixed waistband - ½ yard
