Introduction to Sewing: Mask Making WorkshopRecently, we’ve seen so many people take up sewing for the first time because of the need for face masks! Sewing a face mask is a great introductory project for new sewists. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine and how to make two different styles of face masks: pleated and curved front.
Workshop cost includes one of our face mask kits, which contains all the supplies you need to make about 7-10 masks. You will receive paper pattern templates for the two styles of masks we will be making. You are also welcome to bring any cotton fabric you have at home!
Out of concern for safety, class size will be limited to 2 students from the same household.
Class instructor will wear a clean face mask and face shield. Face masks will be required for all students. We will sanitize all workshop tools and sewing machines properly before use. Class will be held outside in the fresh air. We will set a rain date if necessary.Skill level: BeginnerTechniques you will learn:
