Regular price $190.00 Save $-190.00

This 3-week course offers a hands-on introduction to the basics of quilting using a sewing machine. With a few easy “stripping” techniques and a little creativity, students will learn to design, piece, and quilt a small wall hanging, a set of potholders or another small project of their choosing. This workshop provides an introduction to commonly used quilting jargon and techniques in a relaxed atmosphere.

Materials: Fabric Scraps or a total of 1 yard of assorted cotton fabrics, 1 yard of cotton fabric for backing, cotton quilt batting, 80/12 and 90/14 universal sewing machine needles, and 100% cotton quilting thread.

Students may purchase materials as needed throughout the class. Please bring fabrics that inspire you or that you plan to use for your project to the first class. This class is open to all skill levels.
