About the Instructor:
From being a yarn shop owner and creating Paris’ first café tricot to starting her own yarn company with its custom-milled bases, its exclusive and eye-catching color style, La Bien Aimée yarn is now synonymous with luxury in the handknitting world. Behind it all is Aimée Gille. Aimée began her fiber career in the industry as a yarn shop owner in 2008, Aimée then expanded into hand-dyeing as a self-taught dyer in 2015. La Bien Aimée developed specific techniques, unique to the brand. Aimée continues to search for new methods and bases to add to her repertoire. Her unique style and distinctive yarn bases and colorways reflect her main passions in life. A knitter since childhood, Aimée's long years of experience as a knitter have taught her tips and tricks to make knitting fun and easy as it should be.
Materials for class:
● Knitting needles in sizes 4mm to 5mm
● Yarn: DK / worsted weight yarn in a few different solid colors (no speckled colors) so you can have enough contrast. Yarn should be caked already, leftovers are fine. Aimée strongly recommends using non superwash yarns for this.
● Scissors
● Darning needle
● Pen and notebook for note taking
● Please feel free to bring your cell phone to take pictures during class
